Mountain

Come and celebrate the first day of spring, we have great skiing and riding over the whole mountain, all of our main trails have been groomed over night providing a corduroy surface for the early birds. Off groomed trails the tracked spring snow will be firm at first softening as the sun warms the snow surface. Come on up and spend the day in the sun.

Weather

Currently we have clear skies and a light breeze. Forecast is for sunny skies and a beautiful calm day. Sunscreen and sunglasses are essential.

Access Road

We will have a grader working on the road from around 11am through early afternoon, grading the corners and corrugations from 4km through to 11km. Please take care while driving on the access road maintaining two way access at all times and pull over to let others pass if travelling slow.

Don't Forget...

Today we have the qualifying round of The Northface big mountain skiing event happening in Shadow Basin. Take a look at some NZ and international athletes competing for the NZ title and entry to the Freeride Worlds, or take in the view from the lookout at the the top of Shadow Basin and then have a well deserved break at the Ice Bar accessed on Curvey B trail and just soak up the sun!
